HostArtists legal

Terms of Service

These Terms explain the rules for using HostArtists, a platform for Second Life club discovery, performer profiles, schedules, bookings, reservations, and personal calendar management.

HostArtists is operated by HostArtists.

Effective date: September 16, 2026

By creating an account or using a HostArtists feature, you agree to these Terms and the HostArtists Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

HostArtists provides tools for clubs to publish programming, assign DJs, Hosts, Live Singers, and Managers, release open positions, and review reservations. Artists can maintain profiles, discover public clubs, manage eligible bookings, and keep outside commitments in a personal calendar.

Features can change as HostArtists develops. HostArtists is a coordination and publishing tool; it is not an employer, booking agent, payment processor, or guarantor of a club, artist, event, audience, or booking.

Keep your account information accurate and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must tell us if you believe it has been compromised.

A Second Life legacy name is used as a stable identity field. Display Names are cosmetic and can change. HostArtists does not claim that a Second Life identity is verified unless the service explicitly displays a future verification status supported by a reliable verification method.

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give HostArtists a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the features you choose, including public profiles, schedules, pages, embeds, and connected Discord events.

Only publish content and images you have the right to use. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, club information, event details, links, and public visibility choices. Do not publish another person’s private information without permission.

Club Owners and authorised club staff control their club’s programming and permissions. A club can use club-managed assignment, direct self-booking, or reservation with approval. A reservation is not a confirmed booking until the applicable club approval is completed; a direct claim is subject to the club’s rules and successful validation.

Clubs and performers remain responsible for confirming commitments, arriving or performing as agreed, handling cancellations and call-outs, and communicating when a schedule changes. HostArtists can check role eligibility, deadlines, capacity, conflicts, and buffers, but those checks do not replace human judgment or a club’s own rules.

You decide whether an external calendar entry is public, busy-only, or private where those options are available. Private and busy-only entries may block a booking without exposing their title or details. Do not use the calendar to store information that you are not permitted to provide to the service.

You may connect only a Discord server or website that you are authorised to connect. You are responsible for checking the permissions granted to the HostArtists bot and for removing the connection when you no longer want public events published there.

Integrations publish or display public information and can be affected by third-party outages, permissions, limits, or policy changes. Existing Discord events created outside HostArtists are not automatically adopted or managed by HostArtists.

Do not use HostArtists to impersonate another person, submit a false Second Life identity, harass or threaten people, publish unlawful or private material, upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, bypass booking or permission controls, abuse notifications or integrations, or interfere with the service.

HostArtists and its software, design, branding, documentation, and underlying technology belong to the HostArtists operator or its licensors. These Terms give you permission to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of HostArtists intellectual property.

We may suspend or close an account, remove content, disconnect an integration, or limit access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, service integrity, or a breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

You can stop using HostArtists at any time. Contact us if you need help with account or data deletion. Some records may remain where required for security, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.

HostArtists is provided on an availability basis. We do not promise that every schedule, profile, booking, teleport link, Discord event, or integration will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free. Second Life, Discord, WordPress, hosting, email, and other third-party services operate independently of HostArtists.

To the extent allowed by law, you use HostArtists at your own risk and remain responsible for decisions made from schedules, availability information, profiles, and booking status. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

We may update these Terms when the service, integrations, or legal requirements change. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.
